Development and optimization of fire test methods
The effectiveness of fire testing and measuring methods has increased significantly in recent years. The fire performance of products can be investigated in detail using state-of-the-art technologies such as FTIR spectroscopy in smoke gas analysis.
In the field of fundamental research and by adopting application-oriented perspectives, we focus on developing and optimizing experimental methods to investigate and assess the behavior of products in the event of fire. Findings are brought to bear directly in standardization work through our involvement in numerous ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC, DIN and DKE committees.
