Dr. Günter Hilken

Dr. Günter Hilken was born in Leverkusen, Germany, in 1954. He studied chemistry at Cologne University, obtaining a doctorate in organic chemistry from the same institution in 1983. He joined Bayer’s Rubber Business Group at the Dormagen site in 1984. After several years in leading positions in R&D for the Rubber Business Group, he held positions as a plant manager in rubber production and as a site manager in Sarnia, Canada.
In 1999, Dr. Hilken became President of the Fibers, Additives and Rubber Division at Bayer Corp. in Akron, Ohio. He returned to Leverkusen in 2002 to become Head of Global Operations MDI at Bayer Polymers before taking over the Polycarbonates Business Unit of Bayer MaterialScience AG two years later. He was also appointed a member of the Bayer MaterialScience Executive Committee in 2007.
On August 1, 2011, he became Chairman of the Executive Board of Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG.
As of May 2014 Dr. Hilken has been Chairmann of the Board of the VCI NRW (Association of the Chemical Industry in North Rhine-Westphalia).

Frank Hyldmar was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark, in 1961. He studied Economics in Copenhagen and New York and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1988. After completing his studies, he began his professional career as Marketing Manager at Velux GmbH in Hamburg, assuming the management of the company between 1995 and 1999. Hyldmar was subsequently employed in a number of management positions at Deutsche Post World Net (DHL), ultimately that of Managing Director for the company's global marketing & distribution operations. In 2006, the Danish national assumed the position of CEO at Elster Group GmbH, a manufacturer of metering technologies and other solutions for the gas, electricity and water treatment industries. During this time, Frank Hyldmar also held the office of President of the European Smart Metering Industry Group (ESMIG) and was a member of the Smart Grids Task Force of the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission. From 2015 onwards, Hyldmar was the CEO of Techem GmbH, an energy service provider for the real estate sector which at that time was also part of the investment portfolio of MIRA, in which capacity he oversaw the digital transformation of the company.
Hyldmar joined Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG in the capacity of Managing Director as of July 1, 2020.

Pieter Wasmuth was born in Hamburg in 1966. In 1987, he began his business administration studies at the University of Mannheim, which he completed in 1992 with a degree in business administration. Wasmuth began his professional career in 1992 as an audit manager at Price Waterhouse GmbH. From 1996 to 2000, he held various positions at Deutsche Shell AG. Then, he moved to Tomorrow Internet AG/Bellevue and More AG as a member of the board for three years. From 2005 to 2009, he was CFO of REpower Systems AG, where he was responsible for Finance, Organisation & IT, Purchase and Service & Maintenance. In 2010, Wasmuth moved to the energy supplier Vattenfall. There, he was the general representative for Hamburg and Northern Germany for Vattenfall Europe AG and, since 2012, for Vattenfall GmbH (legal successor of Vattenfall Europe AG). In 2015, Wasmuth took over as Chairman of the Management Board of Vattenfall Wärme Hamburg GmbH. This was in the Head of Business Area Heat as well as the Country Representative in Germany of Vattenfall AB, Sweden. In addition, Wasmuth is Managing Partner of Company Partners CMP GmbH.
Pieter Wasmuth was appointed Managing Director of Currenta GmbH & Co, OHG on 1 January 2020. He is also Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of Labour of the company.
Pieter Wasmuth is married and has three children.
